The Xbox One is a video game console made by Microsoft that competes in the eighth generation of video game consoles with the Wii U and the PlayStation 4. It will be succeeded by the Xbox Series X in 2020.

The Xbox One X is a mid eighth generation upgrade of the Xbox One. The system launched worldwide in early November 2017, making it the most recent piece of hardware released in this generation. The system has improved hardware capable of rendering games in 4K
