Street Fighter is a fighting game franchise owned by Capcom. It has sold more than 50 million software units, making it one of the best-selling fighting game franchises.

The franchise is estimated to have grossed more than $14 billion in revenue, making it the highest-grossing fighting game franchise and Capcom's highest-grossing franchise. Street Fighter II alone is estimated to have grossed more than $10 billion, making it the highest-grossing fighting game and one of the highest-grossing video games of all time.

According to David Snook, editor of Coin Slot magazine, the original Street Fighter II (not including Champion Edition) sold about 50,000 arcade cabinets worldwide in 1991, including 10,000 units in the United Kingdom, with each machine averaging an annual coin revenue of about £26,000 for two years (£52,000 per unit) up until 1993. The game grossed £260 million per year (£520 million over two years) in the United Kingdom, which accounts for about 1/5 of the game's worldwide revenue.[14] This gives a total worldwide revenue of about £2.6 billion ($5.11 billion)[15] for two years, from 1991 to 1993. The game went on to sell a total of more than 60,000 arcade units worldwide.[13]
