Video Game Sales Wiki

Pro Evolution Soccer, also known as PES in Europe and Winning Eleven in Japan and North America, is an association football video game franchise by Konami. It began with the International Superstar Soccer (ISS) series in 1994, and has been succeeded by eFootball since 2021.

PES is Konami's best-selling franchise (above Metal Gear), the second best-selling association football game franchise (after FIFA), and one of the top five best-selling sports game franchises. PES peaked during the 2000s, when it was one of the biggest franchises in Europe and Japan. PES sales figures rivalled FIFA up until the late 2000s, before PES eventually fell behind FIFA in sales by the early 2010s.

Pro Evolution Soccer sold more than 100 million units as of 2018.[1] Its successor eFootball has reached 900 million downloads as of 2025,[2] and grossed $1 billion on mobile devices as of 2023.[3]
