Video Game Sales Wiki


The PlayStation (also known as PS, PSX, PS1 or PSone) was Sony's first game console, debuted in 1994. It launched at $299, while PSOne devkits were $4,000.[1]

It was succeeded by the PlayStation 2 in 2000 and then the PlayStation 3 in 2006. Sony stopped producing the console in early 2006, 12 years after its release. The console's best selling game is Gran Turismo.[2]
