Overall

A total of $424 million for Hardware. This is down 10% from 2021. For video game content, there was a total of $3.7 billion, up 2% from from 2021. For Accessories, there was a total of $148 million, down 8% from 2021.

In terms of hardware,the Playstation 5 was the best selling platform in both units and dollar sales. Xbox Series took second place for both leaving the Nintendo Switch in last for major platforms. The Nintendo Switch is still in the lead for units for the year overall.

In terms of software, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 takes the top position for the month, keeping with the trend of Call of Duty being ranked 1st for their launch month for the 15th year. Both Persona 5 Royal and Nier Automata returned to the top 20, primarily from their new Switch ports. Grounded also returned to the top 20 with the full release coming out
