A total of $215.2 million for Hardware. This is down 20% from October 2015. For console software, there was a total of $505.7 million, up 31% from 2015. For PC software, there was a total of $33.8 million, up 18% from $12.4 million in 2015. For accessories, there was a total of $121 million, down 24% from 2015.
In terms of hardware, the Xbox One continued its streak over the Playstation 4, outselling its competitor for the fifth month in a row. Unit sales for the Xbox One grew by 8%, though average pricing fell by 17% from the Minecraft Xbox one S bundle.The Uncharted 4 PS4 Slim bundle was the best selling SKU for the month, accounting for 17% of hardware units. The Nintendo 3DS had its fifth straight month of year-over-year growth.
In terms of software, Battlefield 1 was the top seller and was a strong success for the franchise. Mafia III was the fastest selling game in the franchise as well. Titanfall 2 made the top 10 but fell considerably from the first game.
