This the NPD data for November 2017, which covers the sales for United States. The gaming industry generated $2.68 billion. This is massively up from the previous year by 30%.

Overall

A total of $1.147 billion for Hardware. This is up 52% from November 2016. For Accessories, there was a total of $344 million, up 11% from 2016. For console software, there was a total of $1.164 million, up 19% from 2016. For PC software, there was a total of $33 million, up 13% from 2016.

The Playstation 4 was the top-selling platform for November by units, with the platform selling more consoles than any other month our the PS4's lifetime, The Xbox One achieved a similar metric, with more Xbox One's than any other month over its lifetime and it achieved higher revenue despite the fewer consoles.

Call of Duty: WWII was the biggest game with more launch month spending than any Call of Duty game since Call of Duty: Black Ops II in 2012. It has outsold every other game in the past 12 months. Assassin's Creed Origins was also strong. Combined with October's launch, it generated the most revenue for the franchise since 2013's Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag.
