Seventh generation consoles decreased by 49%.
In terms of software, though software overall was down, new games sold 14% better than last year. Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare continues the trend for the franchise to be the top game in the month of release. Grand Theft Auto V had reignited sales from the current generation release. Nintendo announced that the new Pokémon games sold a combined 1.5 million and Super Smash Bros. for Wii U launched with nearly 710,000. Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS has also crossed the 1.5 million threshold. Wii U software sales have jumped 90%. PC sales are driven by the World of Warcraft expansion, Warlords of Draenor.
