A total of $1.327 billion for Hardware. This is up 57% from 2012. For software, there was a total of $1.10 billion, down 24% from from 2012. For Accessories, there was a total of $327.4 million, up 17% from 2012.
In terms of hardware, the Playstation 4 was the top platform. Xbox One took second place with 909 thousand in the United States. The Nintendo 3DS doubled October's sales to reach 770,000 and surpassing 10 million lifetime sales for North America. Wii U sales increased by 340%, driven by Super Mario 3D World
In terms of software, Call of Duty: Ghosts repeats the franchise record of topping the month of release. For Nintendo, The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds sold 280,000 including Digital (405,000 if they include limited edition bundle. Pokémon X and Y each moved an additional 225,000, reaching a lifetime total of 2.35 million. Super Mario 3D World also moved 215,000.
