The Witcher 3 was the big winner with the best launch on eighth generation hardware the RPG super genre. Splatoon is the only other new game on the list which is a strong debut for a new property despite only a couple days of tracking. If the software was on a SKU basis, Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster would have made the top 10.
