This the NPD data for 2023, which covers the sales for United States. The gaming industry generated $4.347 billion[1]. This is the first month ESA Canada, in collaboration with the NPD, posts the top 10 for the month for Canada.

A total of $393 million for Hardware. This is flat from 2022. For video game content, there was a total of $3.788 billion, down 5% from from 2022. For Accessories, there was a total of $165 million, down 14% from 2022.
In terms of hardware, the Playstation 5 leads in both units and revenue. The Switch is in second for both and the Xbox Series platform is in third for the month. Growth for Playstation 5 and Switch was offset by declines in other hardware.
In terms of software, the remake of Dead Space is the biggest new game of the month, just behind Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. Fire Emblem Engage debuts at 5th despite no digital tracked. Other new titles include Forspoken and One Piece Odyssey. The Last of Us: Part 1 returns to the 20 due to the start of the HBO show. Monster Hunter Rise rose with the release on Playstation and Xbox versions.
