A total of $390 million for Hardware. This is down 4% from 2020. For video game content, there was a total of $4.109 billion, up 22% from from 2020. For Accessories, there was a total of $185 million, down 15% from 2020.
In terms of hardware, the Playstation 5 was higher in both units and dollar sales with the Xbox Series in second for both. The Switch was in third for the first time since these consoles launched. The hardware revenue total is the highest since 2009.[2]
In terms of software, Pokémon Legends: Arceus topped the charts. Monster Hunter Rise and God of War returned to the top ten due to their respective Steam launches during the month. Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales has maintain its presence in the charts and it is now the 3rd highest in lifetime dollar sales for a Sony title, behind the original Marvel's Spider-Man and 2018's God of War.
