This the NPD data for February 2018, which covers the sales for United States. The gaming industry generated $995 million.

Overall

A total of $316 million for Hardware. This is up 55% from February 2017. For software, there was a total of $397 million, flat from from 2017. For Accessories, there was a total of $282 million, up 35% from 2017.

The Playstation 4 remains the best-selling console for the month and the year to date. Nintendo Switch remains on its record-setting pace, achieving the highest install base over the first twelve months.

In terms of software, Monster Hunter: World maintained itself lead position. Its performance has made Capcom the top publisher of 2018. Nintendo was the leading publisher for the month though. Kingdom Come: Deliverance is a strong performer to reach the top 10 in spite of being an indie game.
