This the NPD data for February 2017, which covers the sales for United States. The gaming industry generated $724 million[1]. Starting this month, the NPD releases charts for each platform.

Overall[]

A total of $204 million for Hardware. This is down 30% from February 2016. For Accessories, there was a total of $150.8 million, down 21% from 2016.For console software, there was a total of $344.2 million, down 14% from 2016. For PC software, there was a total of $25 million, down 16% from 2016.

The Playstation 4 continued to be the top-selling system, with the Uncharted 4: A Thief's End Bundle being the top selling console for the fifth month in a row. 3DS sales jumped 77% from January with the introduction of 2 models of New 3DS.
