A total of $178.1 million for Hardware. This is down 6% from August 2015. For game software, there was a total of $273.7million, up 8% from 2015. For PC software, there was a total of $14.2 million, up 18% from $12 million in 2015. For accessories, there was a total of $107 million, down 5% from 2015.

This month, the Xbox One outsold the Playstation 4, with the launch of the Xbox One S. The Nintendo 3DS had a strong month as well, helping avoid as bad as a decline as July.
