Killzone 2[]
Sony Computer Entertainment America reported two weeks before launch that preorders for Killzone 2 outnumbered these of all other First Party Playstation 3 games that have been released that far. This includes Gran Turismo 5: Prologue, LittleBigPlanet and Resistance 2.[2] Pre Order's for Killzone 2 reached the 1.1 million units mark in Europe as of the end of January 2009 Sony Computer Entertainment Europe's David Reeves indicated in the british newspaper "The Guardian". [3]
Sony Computer Canada announced on 27th February 2009 that after two days Killzone 2 reached 30,000 sold units in Poland. As comparison: Halo 3 only sold 4,000 units in it's opening weekend. [4] Killzone 2 topped both the All Format charts and the Individual Format charts in United Kingdom being the 3rd fastest selling Sony-published title ever in UK and - after Gran Turismo 5: Prologue - the 2nd fastest selling game on the Playstation 3 in United Kingdom. So First Week sales are not higher than 108,000 as Gran Turismo: Prologue reached that number, however they shouldn't be much less, too. [5]
One million sold worldwide as of April 2009.[6]
