Kid Icarus is a platforming series made by Nintendo. The original game debuted on the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1986. The series focuses on the angel Pit trying to save a fantasy world based on classical antiquity and Greek mythology, called "Angel Land". As of December 2020, the Kid Icarus franchise has sold 3.169 million copies worldwide.
