A total of $454 million for Hardware. This is up 22% from 2022. For video game content, there was a total of $4.064 billion, up 7% from from 2022. For Accessories, there was a total of $214 million, up 14% from 2022. This was the second highest grossing June, only behind 2021.
In terms of hardware, the Playstation 5 was the best-selling platform both in units and dollar sales. It was the highest June hardware sales for Playstation since 2008 in terms of revenue and 2010 in units. The Nintendo Switch is second in both revenue and units, leaving the Xbox Series in third for both categories
In terms of software,the big winner was Diablo 4 with the series first multiplatform launch. It topped the chart for the month and instantly became third best-selling title behind Hogwarts Legacy and Tears of the Kingdom. It is followed by Final Fantasy XVI and Street Fighter 6. Street Fighter 6 doubled the launch month revenue of Street Fighter V, becoming the highest grossing fighting game since 2019's Mortal Kombat 11. In mobile, Monopoly GO has quickly jumped the ranking with consumer spend up 56% month-over-month. While no information was given directly about Final Fantasy XVI's performance, it is generally understood to have done worse than either Final Fantasy XV and Final Fantasy 7 Remake.
