The Ace Combat series, initially known as Air Combat, is a line of flight combat games by Namco. It was originally released in arcades, followed by a more popular release on the original Sony Playstation. The series consists of eight main entries, including a reboot, along with several other arcade and handheld titles. By the sixth main entry, the series had already exceed 10 million copies sold. Ace Combat 7 later became the best-selling title in the series.
