The year's highest-grossing video game worldwide was Sega's arcade blockbuster Out Run, the second year in a row for a Sega arcade racer. In the United Kingdom, Out Run was the best-selling home video game of 1987,[91] with its 8-bit home computer version becoming the fastest-selling game in the UK up until then.[92]
